Mizoram Congress in silent solidarity with Rahul Gandhi

Aizawl: Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Wednesday day staged a silent protest in front of the Congress Bhavan in Aizawl, in support of the AICC leader Rahul Gandhi.

The protesters were wearing black masks and displaying placards showing solidarity with Gandhi while no speeches were delivered.

A press release issued by the MPCC said that Gandhi has been rising as a tall leader among the politicians in the country to decimate the strength of the ruling BJP.

“He (Rahul Gandhi) inside and outside the Parliament had fearlessly spoken about the ‘unholy’ nexus between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani to rob the country,” the press release said, adding that his actions angered the ruling saffron party at the centre.

The government took revenge by slapped criminal cases against him and disqualified him as Member of Parliament, the press release said.

Even after being harassed in such a way, Rahul Gandhi continued to slam the government saying he will continue to expose the BJP government and will sacrifice everything for the people of India at any costs, it added.
